Need a real job. Resume below.

Ur right about knowing someone for sure.
Ur better qualified than me by a long shot all I have so far is an associates.
The only good job offers I got in the last year were from Hayes State Prision and where I am working now.
The only reason I got my current job is cause I knew someone but It will happen man just hang in there.
It will happen when you least expect it to as it did for me and It may not be exactly what u had in mind but give it a shot it may surprise.
When I first started I was really kinda iffy on my job but I think I have found my niche and planning on staying til I retire. Keep your head up.

I know lots of college grads are leaving their college degrees off their resume. I work at a college and I hear a lot of professors talk about how Criminal Justice/Political Science are a waste of time and money also see a lot of grads with those degrees looking for work

Same here. I see them applying for GED level part time jobs. Might want to tone down the MOS description to make it less descriptive. It will scare some HR people enough that they won't forward the resume. Depending on what job you are applying for, it can be difficult for a vet to get a break. I found it easier after I had been out long enough to omit military service.

If looking for non-official type work, tone down the spirit a bit. Military presence intimidates people. I've been out 20 years, and co-workers still overreact. but if something difficult to pull off needs done, guess who they come to. As for higher degrees, if chosen carefully, they can open many opportunities. Go part time.

that is a god awful shame

are you post certified to carry as a pi? If so, with combat background, hit up pi firms that deal in ep.

No longer license as a PI and I really don't want to get back into that work, if I don't have to. EP is a whole other monster of licensing. I would really like to find something in my field of study, so I can validate my huge student loans.

How far are you willing to travel? Henry county fire dept I about to hire alot of people

I am on the north side of Atlanta. It's a bit far for a job the probably doesn't pay a lot and I don't think I have a lot of interest in. But I respect the people that are willing to do it.

Good luck with Cobb fire..,applied there twice...each time over 900 applicants for 15 positions....Marietta city is another good one, though!

Cobb Fire just gave a written test... But keep an eye out, www.cobbfire.org. We will be hiring more next year and there will be plenty of vacancies in the coming years as a big group is about to retire. May not help in the short term, but it is worth the wait, been there 13 years in October. You could also take something else in the County Gov't then test next time. The seniority helps. Cobb PD should be hiring as well, if that fits your personality more. PM if you want more info, I can shoot the job postings your way. Good luck and thank you.
