Need advice/recommendations for a last minute beach trip today

The drive to Destin from my sister's condominium is exactly 28.4 miles. So you can go to Destin and get into all the good shopping and then go back to the quiet and peaceful Beach at my sister's condo.

I've heard of it but never been there. Isn't it too cold to get in the water up there right now? I thought Panama City would be warm enough that we could still get in the ocean
I'm in Savannah, just south of Hilton Head, the weekend highs are 76 and 79. HHI is beautiful and a little more chill than most FL beaches, but there are a **** ton of old bastards clogging up the roads.....driving on HHI is ****ing horrific.

Navarre has one two lane road that runs the length of the peninsula. There's absolutely no traffic to fight. None whatsoever!

Yes you could rent a house, but not cheap. Course nothin is anymore. Find something near Pier Park in Panama City. Then you can walk. You could rent a condo. A lot of places will be closed or limited hours likely this time of year. You likely can find a place on the way

My sister owns a condo in Navarre beach. It's right on the beach. Navarre is a small long Island connected by a bridge in either end. Pensacola is on the West in fort Walton Beach is on the right so there are plenty places to eat and it's a quiet place we're not a lot of hooplas going on. It's perfect for a couple wanting to get out. The condo is not facing the beach but is situated in a little condo unit right on the beach. You can walk to the beach in less than a minute. It's a really nice place to go visit because you have the sound on one side which you can fish in and the ocean on the other side of the island so you're actually between two beaches. If you're interested let me know and I'll put you in contact with my sister. I used to take the kids there all the time because not a lot of teenagers go and raise hell there. It's a scenic Little Island but the hotels are not monster tourist jobs. The condos and houses are small and quaint.

That's very generous of you Greg I really appreciate that! Wish I had seen this post before she went ahead and booked the condo. We'll see how this trip goes but if we go back sometime with more than 6 hours of notice I will definitely hit you up on that!

Well she found a condo in Panama City that she just fell in love with. Sixth floor with a balcony facing the ocean. Only $450 for two nights which is a lot cheaper than I had been expecting. Thanks for all the tips and advice!
There will be some hidden fees. Just so you know. I don't go that often so when I do, I want to be on the water......Y'all have fun!!
