There’s a guy on ODT who is buying police-issued guns; specifically, Atlanta PD and metro Atlanta department guns. You may want to find him as I’m sure he’ll want this!

how would i find out what officer had it if even possible
It's almost impossible and the officer had the chance to buy it when the department switched and refused, so very doubtful they want now.
About to say, I could imagine how dangerous it would be for someone to know which officer carried a specific duty weapon. Too many crazies out there.

Short answer is that you can't. You'd have to file a request with APD, which they probably won't respond to, or they'll give you a "go pound sand" answer.
Then you file a FOIA request, and in several months you'd probably get an answer.
There's a chance that the gun was issued to more than one officer during it's service life.
There's a chance that it was never issued to anyone, it was a department spare, to be used as a replacement.
There is no guarantee that APD even has those records nowadays.
