need HELP with my colt revolver

Hello ODT!
I'm in need of some wheelgun assistance.
I'm getting a Colt Frontier Scout from a friend, but the trigger guard is broken on the bottom side. Only thing left is a "nub" coming off both sides where the trigger guard meets the frame.
Now to my question... Can this be fixed? Can a new trigger guard be installed?
If so, how painful will it be on my wallet?

The trigger guard is a casting of aluminum or zinc. I don't think it can be fixed. Your best bet is to find another one. It can be easily installed but may be hard to find. Try gunbroker.com or search the web for Colt parts dealers. I'll call a buddy tomorrow who collects Scouts and get back to you.

Okay, after further education, I'll need a whole backstrap (with trigger guard attached). Anybody have one for sale/trade?

CORRECTION: It's actually a Colt New Frontier 22. Finally picked it up today
