Need legal help for my son

My son is a poor Paramedic and doesn't have a nickels in his pocket. 5 years ago he had a minor incident where he bumped another car. There was no damage to either car, and an accident report was issued.
The other driver has sued him for $14000 for "pain and suffering in a NO DAMAGE accident.
What course of action do we need to follow? Obviously he needs a lawyer, but has no money to secure one. We need to try and get the accident report (if it still exists). He had video of the impact point, but we can't find that video.
If anyone out there can help this poor first responder, his entire family will be grateful.

Contact his old insurance company. They should handle it.

Thanks for that info, the accident was on 7/19/2019, the suit was filed 9/21/2021 and served today, 5/24/2024.
