Need place to go shooting!

Looking for some farmland or property between Lawrenceville, Athens and Covington where I can go shoot my long rifles. I don't want to hunt, don't shoot cows or livestock and will leave it better than I found it. I even pick up my brass. So if anybody knows a place where nobody cares or I could introduce myself and shoot I would be grateful. Funny but when I was a kid there were a lot of places to shoot and these days every bodies worried you started a war. thanks, jd

My problem is that I got on it for no good reason. He created a situation that didn't exist and still wouldn't back off when I explained that to him. I liked Gunsite Hills and Mike so much that I threw my best friends Bachelor Party there. Now I'll never darken his doorstep again. I won't be spoken to like some snot nosed kid and I don't care who's doing the talking.

Understood. Sorry to hear about him being like that. I have not experienced anything like that when I have been there, but have gleaned many useful nuggets of information in my quest for smaller group sizes at long distance.

LOL....great guy. He is a NUT case! Many people avoid going there because of him. If you don't have thick skin then you need to avoid his range. You will be yelled at and cussed at constantly. I have seen it many many times, even during his matches. There is a real good reason at a lot of his matches there are only 4 people show up. It takes a special person to deal with Chief on a regular basis.

What are the requirements if you want to shoot on your own property. I'm thinking of purchasing a house this year and looking for a house with couple acres, wanted to know what are the requirements for shooting on your private property without being harassed.
