I have been a member at Elbert County Gun Club for about 4 or 5 years now. I go during the week, and typically have the range to myself. There is a separate rimfire range, pistol range and a long range (400 yard) range. Then there is the shotgun stuff (multiple station with electronic launchers and another kind of shot gun range - but I am not a shotgunner....) $120.00 a year are the dues. There is an IDPA shoot on some Saturdays and in the newsletter, some of the guys to to a place called "Gaines" range (?) and am told that it is a 1,000 yard range (I have never been to it)..

Anyone know anything about this Gaines range ?

C'mon up to River Bend. I use to call the fire on a Marine Corps rifle requalification range, I'll put you through the paces, lol.

I have heard of people going to Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center, but its not really worth the trip to go alone. http://www.georgiawildlife.org/ClybelRange

It only has a 50 and 100 yard range

I see they've got a gravel road to the right of the targets. Do they allow people to bring 4-wheelers with them to drive back and forth to their target?

I bet you're not supposed to drink your targets on the way to set them up. I'm pretty sure that's what you were asking.

Hell yeah.

After I drink that 3rd or 4th target and throw it out there I'm so relaxed that I am an AWESOME shot!
