Hey guys,

I've had this rifle a few years, but fired it for the first time yesterday. It had several failures to go into battery, to fire, to feed and to extract. Yeah, I'm not happy. I was using Aguila .22 super extra ammo, 40 grams. I put 200 rounds through it.

I've reached out to the manufacturer to see if they'll do anything under warranty. If they won't, what is causing these problems, and what can I expect a gunsmith to charge to fix it?

thanks!

Try a variety of different ammo. It should run on any standard 40 grain, but may need something else. I like CCI Mini Mags for finicky guns. I am guessing the rounds that were pinched just below the bullet were caught between the mag and bolt as they started into the chamber. So, Maybe the bullets are not powerful enough to send the bolt all the way back after each shot.

You may get some improvement from a good cleaning and oiling.

Try loading one round, removing the mag and firing. If it works, try another with the mag inserted, but empty. If that works, put two in the mag, rack the bolt and fire. See if that works. If all the above attempts fire correctly, I would say that tension between the top round in the mag and the bottom of the bolt is slowing your bolt down. The fix is better ammo, or a lighter recoil spring, or some actual gunsmithing on the bolt.

If non of the above work, you may need an adjustment of the bolt’s recoil springs.

You might benefit from information on the RimFireCentral web site.

In the other direction, your mag springs maybe too week to keep the rounds moving to the top as fast as the bolt cycles.

I had one for a couple years. The rifle itself seemed to run ok but I had feed trouble with certain mags...bought it used so I never knew what previous owners had done to it
