Need something soldered back on laptop board.

I have a laptop that the wire that the wall electric cord plugs into , has come loose from the board and needs to be soldered back on.
Way too small for me to do it .

does anyone do this kind of stuff or do I just chuck it in the trash ?

Depending on the model, you may be able to just swap out a little board. What model?

So the wire just needs to be resoldered to the circuit board? Can you strip the wire?

I have soldering equipment

Unfortunately if it has popped loose the copper "pads" may have lifted from PCB. Worth checking just in case but it may be a bit more involved a repair than just a simple solder back on. You need someone with a proper soldering station.

Power board connection is common problem on some model Inspiron's. Try a search on " Inspiron Power Board " .

it’s not a wire
the charging wire plugs into on the outside of the case and had four wires that run to a removable connector , and that connector came off the board .

I have a fair bit of experience at soldering things back onto circuit boards. Just need to see what I'm working with
