I have a case head separation in a 9mm AR. I tried different size bore snakes to pull it out, multiple over sized brushes to pull it out. I even tried inserting a 223 case and letting the bolt slam on it, then extract it, no luck either. Even tried a long 90degree pick to pull it out. Nothing yet…..I’m looking for some other ideas before I order a extraction tool tomorrow. Thanks for any help.

If you have some canned air type duster turn it upside down and spray a bunch in the chamber.
Then use your pick to try and pull it out. Otherwise, Palmettomoon is correct.
Well the compressed air trick didn’t work either, it’s still in there. I will order a shell extractor tomorrow. Thanks.

You can melt down a little bit of soft metal, plug the chamber, pour it in, and pound it out with a rod from the other end.

Try the perfect sized tap or a bolt extractor?
I finally got it out today at work. I had to make a barrel nut wrench to fit JPs barrel nut. Then used a reamer to go in the brass to grab it, then it finally came out. Thanks for the suggestions.
