That's irrelevant. You seem to be focused on the Terms of Use, and rightly so. It's against the terms of use, so I wouldn't do it or advocate for it. If you don't like a service that won't let you use a VPN to connect, simply end your membership.

Actually it is exactly that. Since you seem to be the expert though, please explain to me what a VPN does. As I type this I have 6 active VPN sessions running on this computer however I am not using any of them as a proxy so my geolocation is not being masked. I still have all of the functionality of the VPNs, but since I am not using them to view unlicensed content if I were to login to my netflix account I wouldn't gain access to any content that has not been licensed for viewership in the United States.
I don't find it to be irrelevant because the plan supposedly has changed. Personally if I can't use a vpn to connect, then I would cancel my membership.
Plans of providers can change, and it appears it has for Netflix. It sounds like you should cancel or just stop using the VPN or keep using the VPN if you want to circumvent the content restrictions.
No it's not exactly that. The reason has been well documented. And if you need a tutorial on how a vpn works, then there are plenty of websites available to you.
Hmm, Netflix starts blocking VPNs in 2016.....the same year Opera offers a built in proxy server VPN add on that any idiot can use to their browser which there are countless threads on the internet regarding how to use in order to view netflix content not licensed in the end users country.

I know exactly how they work. I build them daily for my clients.
funny thing. I maintain several thousand networks all over the world and if I view my logs it would appear that the only people using Opera for their browsing are using it to view netflix.
99% of my end users use Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Only 1% of my end users browser session is using Opera and of those 99% of those browser sessions are going to Netflix. Crazy how that works.
It's almost as if Opera offered that functionality to keep themselves relevant.
How much sooner do you really need to watch episodes of "The Crown" anyway? I mean, I can wait.
