Yes Hmm. You should read my generic statement again, and then read what you assumed I meant.

Actually better yet, read post 26...

Just reading what you wrote bro. You mention needing it for security several times in this thread.

In the future I will assume you don't actually mean the things you say to prevent this confusion.

My apologies.

Yes I did say a VPN is a tool you should use for security? It's not the only tool, but it's a tool you should use. Are you suggesting it's not? :confused2: What I did not say is that just any "online bull**** VPN" offering you any level security"...

You are correct, I said that. So tell me, you said you've been using VPNs for over 20 years...what does your VPN protect you from?

I use it to connect to my internal network and accessing via wireless. I'm certainly not paying for anyone's openvpn setup...

You do understand that the opera browser VPN isn't a true VPN and is nothing more than a simple proxy server that does nothing other than cloak your source IP to the simplest of queries and offers no security at all.

What protocol does your primary VPN use?

You know what, I'm sorry I'm done I'll let you continue your thread where you say things that don't make sense because you don't understand the technology you are talking about.

Ignorance is bliss and the internet is one blissful place.

Carry on.

Georgia Code:

O.C.G.A. 16-8-5 (2010)
16-8-5. Theft of services

A person commits the offense of theft of services when by deception and with the intent to avoid payment he knowingly obtains services, accommodations, entertainment, or the use of personal property which is available only for compensation.

Legalities aside. Someone created content with the intention of being compensated. They have not reached a compensation agreement to their satisfaction for their content to be available in the United States. As such they have blocked their content from being viewed in the United States .

You are advocating using technology to bypass their geographic controls so you can view their content from a region they have not been compensated for.

You are advocating stealing. Legal or not is not the issue. You are taking content without the content creator being compensated for against their consent. You are a thief.

Yes I already explained the reason for the recommendation so I'm not going to do so again. Providing information that the vast majority of users can't implement is just running off at the mouth. There are plenty of tutorials online for people that want to set something up. But a good antivirus/firewall and vpn will provide users with security and privacy that goes above what others have.

And I've already addressed this, but I welcome more false moral outrage.
