Never thought I would ask a 22LR ammo question like this

Let's say someone is using a Ruger 10/22 for home protection and was also going to use the exact same ammo for plinking what would your choice be?

CCI stingers. And probably the 10 round mag. I can't say I'd trust my life to the 25s

Personally I'd hope to have something better. A 22 will insure they will be able to shoot back. I would use Stingers and keep shooting.

At the moment anything in 22lr you can find. I steer towards high velocity solids because penetration with a 22 caliber is what you're going for in self defense, hp's for hunting squirrels. CCI has a good reputation but I have found they're all hit or miss on reliability depending on the batch of ammo.
