New career time…..

PM'g you my email, shoot me your resume, we are reps in the commercial foodservice arena, cover the Southeast for a lot of factories, some are always looking for regional sales managers. Your experience is what they are looking for.
Thank you. I'll get it to you in the morning.

Ok so I’m looking at selling insurance. I know 2 people who do it and are 1. Very successful and 2. All around good people. I also know a guy who is an independent adjuster, and I’ve spoken with him about that career. Not gonna lie, it seems interesting.

Anyone have pros/cons? Do you love it or no? How’s the income?

selling insurance takes a special kind of person.

If you got the knack you can make a ton of money, but only about 5% are successful.

Stay away from Primerica and similar. State Farm agent is good gig.

I’m actually looking with a job at SF. I like the ones I ‘ve dealt with in the past.

I’m a commercial agent, but I just manage accounts as an account executive for a large national brokerage, no sales other than cross/upselling. I’ve been doing it for 7 years and make $$ with no degree. The industry needs people. Could look into claims and such as well.

I got my insurance adjuster license a while back along with my son. I couldn't find anyone to help me get started or even let me ride along with them. I was going to do catastrophic insurance and not try to compete with them on local stuff. Still couldn't get any help so let it lapse. The class is the same for adjuster and agent, just tests are a little different. We both passed first time for adjusters. Found out later that we were one of the few that passed. You can get your license with a week long class and take the test soon after so you don't forget what you learned. I'm retired now but spent most of my career in trucking or 3PL environments. Stay out of 3PL if you are smart.
