People are going to react to any website change like it is the end of the world. It happens every time they change the format of the Gawker websites or Facebook, and then people get used to it after a brief period of time. If you don't change things, they'll eventually be functionally suboptimal or look outdated. I say go for it and see how it works.

The only one I have a beef with is the lightweight one. The user's location is missing.
