New Ek Help

I bought one of the new KaBar Ek M43s. I always like the M3 version of the Ek which was dagger shaped but only half of the top edge was sharpened as opposed to a full double edge. I thought it gave the knife a little more utility than just a sticking knife. When I got the knife I found the top edge was unsharpened. The new M43 was made for markets where KaBar could not sell a double edged knife.
Are there any sharpening services or knife makers in the Jasper or Cumming area I could use or get to sharpen the top edge? I could spend a half day on a stone and do it. Or mess the thing up trying to use the belt grinder.
