And second for what hikingthehills posted. WMA ranges are the best bargain going. Basically 20 bucks/year and the money goes for a great cause. Just wish they were closer. Wilson Shoals up past Gainesville is top notch. Great facility and range safety officers.

Wilson Shoals is very nice. And for the price of a yearly fishing license you can't beat.

Also, being new to guns, please don't be that guy that points it carelessly around. Always keep muzzle down range and finger off trigger until ready to fire loaded or not.

Welcome. If you are new to firearms I would urge you to get some training. Much as I dislike the NRA they have ok programs for beginners. There are folks on here that offer training from basic to advanced. Hope you thoroughly enjoy your new sport and community.

Welcome! Would highly suggest looking into the training courses at GA Firing Line. I am also in the Woodstock/Roswell area and they are not too far from you.
