I'm new to fishing for the most part. Ive spent some time researching trying to figure out what rod/reel to buy, but there so much information and terms i don't understand it's hard to sort through it all. Anybody have any advice on a good and affordable rod/reel combo for freshwater lake fishing? Mostly Bass (Largemouth, Smallmouth, striped), Bullhead, Rainbow Trout, Crappie, Walleye, Carp, and other fish like that.
I have a cane pole and an old rod and reel, and I have no idea who makes the rod and reel. It works and I enjoy it, I would just like something that works well and feels good. Nothing fancy.
Also, What Lures would be good for this?
