A person who falsely holds himself out as a peace officer or other public officer or employee with intent to mislead another into believing that he is actually such officer commits the offense of impersonating an officer and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, or both

i doubt someone simply describing themselves as LEO warrants that. i mean, i even bolded the part that pertains to anyone who is a government employee (which LEOs are) and the portion regarding intent. sounds like you also kinda have to make it somewhat believable (although stupid people exist everywhere)

They are usually left intentionally vague so that they can be interpreted on the fly and make the crime fit the law.
