New Leo in search of a good gun

16-10-23. Impersonating a public officer or employee

This is correct. however, up around where I live and work and the duties I perform and training I've received I think a simple title like law enforcement describes my job to a tee. Now if I came out and said I was a police officer or sheriff officer that would be punishable under the statue that I posted above.

In your contracting with the local PD, do you have arrest powers? Just curious as I've never heard of this type of arrangement where police contract out to security.

I'm gonna have to go with the PD trade in G22s for an option for you as well.

What a miserable bunch of SOB's we have all become on this board. I try and picture the life of those who set behind their keyboard waiting for the opportunity to tear someone down, wow I have pity for those people.

OP, Chucklenut has given you the best advice, a Taurus 4" .38 provides you a reliable, easy to operate firearm that is perfectly capable of meeting your needs. Try to ignore the venomous comments that have been spewed at you, we apparently have a high volume of miserable individuals and I sincerely hope their lives get better.

just started my job as a armed security officer. We have to provide our own gun for duty. So with that said I don't have a lot of money and I need a good gun I can trust my life with. Curious if you guys know of any deals or anything like that for people in my situation. I know glock has a security deal where they knock off like 100 bucks but that's still to expensive for my paycheck. If this is in the wrong place I apologize.

Pick up, a used Cop trade in, those guns are still in great Condition. My brother in law does Law Enforcement duties in school's in Oklahoma, he came to Georgia, and we picked up a Nice used Cop gun in the Sugarhill shop I think it's called DSS, they sell police items. Good luck, PS, don't trust a cheap gun to save YOUR LIFE!!!

grab a Taurus pt111 g2, lots and lots of good revues and you can get them for less than 250 new

Not a bad suggestion, they come with 2 12 round magazines and sell for $199 plus tax in some local stores.

Would still look for a Police Trade in Glock for $319. Adventure Outdoors usually has them. Sometimes Cherokee Pawn.
