New Leo in search of a good gun

Adventure outdoors has some LEO trade ins right now for $329...The G22 and G23. Those are good choices.

I also agree with the Canik 9mm. Those are nice.

4" .38 is also a good choice.

Any of these can be had for a reasonable price, and are adequate to defend yourself. Good luck.

Does Clydes in Athens recognize security guards as LEOs? (trying to think of a shop close to you)

I know GT Distributors in Rossville does but they're a good ways away from Habersham. They consider security guards with ID the same as Mil and LEO when it comes to Glock discounts. Brand new Glocks for $389.

LEO or not you should have a gun for self defense. If you don't currently carry a gun or practice it seems like a pretty big leap to just start carrying in a law enforcement role without any formal training.

Not trying to be an ass but carrying a gun for self defense and carrrying a gun to enforce the law are two different things. If you need a gun for the enforcing the law the cost of training and ammo will far out way the purchase of a decent handgun.

Clydes sometimes has LEO trade in Glocks, but I don't know the price. They aren't a Glock dealer, so they don't have any new Glocks, but they do MIL/LEO discounts on S&W guns.

For MIL/LEO (blue label) Glocks in Athens you need to go to KEEPRS
