New members sketchy

oh man, the other day i met this new member that wanted a 300bo cash in hand no introduction. he offered an extra "benjamin" for my time. i agreed. we met in a super sketchy place. and i immediately notice someone hiding behind a column in front of a marcos pizza, looking at our direction with a face of no frienda. i "axed" him if that was his buddy. he said no. the member was super sketchy trying to get i guess his gf to send me the money. the hiding person starts walking to my direction bit conitinued to do a stupid walk around the parking lot. i closed my trunk until the moron could transfer the funda. the hiding dude goes back to hiding peeking every now amd then to our direction. a few minutes later the same guy starts walking directly to us. i put my hand on my tool and took a few steps back, no hesitation. hiding dude starts asking for a charger. im like "no you fool" (he was wearing a hoodie and his pants down to his knees). i swear i thought that was the day i would have to defend myself. the member got kinda scared (not to mention he wanted to sit inside my car while he made the transaction wtf i told him
no way!). then im like "man how
long to make a transfer he kept me there 15 minutes!!! im like im leaving. he wanted to meet again i said "sure txt me" and left the place peeling my tires. talk about sketchy new members. normally if im the seller it is my rules but for an extra "hundo" i risked it and almost costed me more.

tldr; be careful with new members with"cash in hand" and not even and introduction to the forum

Come on man that was sketchy from the beginning. You are lucky they were flunkies ! They were probably going to try and snatch your stuff. What were you selling? Where was this at? Even if you would have won that gun fight, the beginning of your life being a legal living hell was right in front of you ! I’m glad you are all right, thanks for sharing.

Lot's of could be.

Could be scamming

Could be 18, 19 y/o trying to buy a gat

Could be a hood rat with a wish.com switch looking for a Glock

Could be a prohibited person

Could be a dumbass

Could be a sincere person that doesn't have a clue

Do your due diligence and proceed with caution.
Hey it’s not illegal to buy a Glock at 18

I've not sold any guns here on ODT, but y'know, If I did, I think I'd set the sale up to happen in the car park of a local Police Department. I'm pretty sure that'd ensure ain't nobody gon be skulkin' aroun' lookin' to bust a cap in mah azz and steal the prolem solva. This is also why you don't accept a deal to deliver it to the buyers' house for anudda hundo. You're trading a gun, not delivering a pizza to an unfamiliar neighborhood.

I'd also avoid people who can't construct complete sentences¹, and who use terms like 'clip' (unless I'm selling a Garand), 'plug' or is asking if it 'come wid a switch'.

(1) .. Fatal_Bert Fatal_Bert excepted

Some folks remember clips before getting the fancy name magazines

The denizens of College Park and East Point are famous for their almost universal desire to own side-ejecting, semi-auto, 30 Cal Fudd Guns.
