What grain does it love? So I don't waste a lot of ammo trying to figure it out, especially now in the ammopocolypse lol

hornady 75 gr bthp and IMI 77gr razor core {aka the Hebrew Hammer} shoot best out of mine. But, almost anything 62gr and above shoots well. 55 FMJs will be okay but not 1 MOA

Kidding aside varmints don't really let you get that close. You need a good high variable power scope to zoom in on the for precise shots.

If I were to build / have built my ideal varmint rifle of the AR-15 style,
I think I'd want the rifling twist rate to be optimized for light weight varmint bullets in the 50 - 55 grain weight.
So, probably 1:10 twist.

But 1:9 might be a good compromise so that I could load up to 70-grain
pills to extend the range for punching paper or ringing steel, past 500 yards.
