NYC can suck a fat one for sure, but I would never think of bringing along my handgun when flying into JFK or LaGuardia. Just like you take extra precautions when handling a firearm, you should take equal precautions when transporting state to state. She went out of her way to verify with Delta their policy, but didn't think to look into NY gun laws? Big mistake.

She was released the next day though, so tough lesson learned but hopefully it ends there.

Not likely to end there. Saw an article where the guys first call was to the NRA, personal friends type situation. He ended up pleading to a reduced charge and forfeiting his pistol.

It infuiates me when honest people get caught in the dragnet made for killers and would be criminals. I know it is wrong by thier laws but those same laws are flawed to the point of making a soon to be mother a felon under unconstitutional laws written by criminals that want to dictate the size of your magazines and soda.

And THERE is the problem. It's not for 'killers and would be criminals'. Well unless of course you view the entire populace as the NYC government does, that being EVERYONE is a 'would be criminal'.

Very True look at the war on drugs and on terror every war has to have an enemy and they determine who that is and expand thier powers to fight these wars on the grounds of keeping us safe.
