New York City can suck a dong

If she had put the gun in her toothpaste and mouthwash zip-lock bag TSA probably would not have noticed.

Sorry, but cases like this are just an unfortunate byproduct of NY's laws to keep people safe. Sure, a pregnant mother might get arrested from time to time... but think about all the real criminals that they're catching or stopping with these laws. Since criminals are no longer able to declare and transport weapons on commercial flights, I'm sure their trafficking has be severely disrupted.

indeed, everyone knows new york is the safest city in united states followed only by chicago and southern california

but they will just transport weapons in another method to get he guns to their destination

And THERE is the problem. It's not for 'killers and would be criminals'. Well unless of course you view the entire populace as the NYC government does, that being EVERYONE is a 'would be criminal'.[/]

ya ever spent time in that cesspool? The majority deserve what they get.

It's clearly not the ladies fault, though, right? I mean, her ignorance is OK and it's NY's fault that she's in the spot she's in, right?

Dude seriously. LAWYERS spend years in school, and have law libraries and clerks, to track the laws in their OWN states. How the **** do you expect anyone to know all of the rules over every state in the union? Seriously...I say this as a former LEO in GA, I could barely keep up with my laws in GA as an officer, so to expect a citizen to know the laws to such a detailed degree?

Its called the internet. Before you travel with a handgun or any other firearm its up to YOU to look at laws in the states you plan to visit. As a former LEO you should know good and well police lock people up on the daily because they violate laws they did not "know" about.

Yup...and I did my best to judge the situation at hand and apply my discretion on whether or not I arrested someone. One thing I vehemently despise are robotic, nay despotic, LEO's that have forgotten their primary mission, to serve and protect the people.
