Why because New York City crime has plummeted to lowest levels on record. All accomplished with a do more with less approach with a smaller police force that has put 30% less criminals in prison. News Week states there is no debate that New York Cityâs crime decline has outpaced the rest of the nationâs. In 2011 NYC had the lowest murder rate since the 1960âs.
On November 26th NYC experienced another first: not one single person was the victim of violent crime in Americaâs largest city.
Wow! This is truly amazing and a huge success. It sounds almost too good to be true for a city of over 8 million! Doesnât it? The good Mayor won't miss an opportunity to reflect on the outstanding job he accomplished.
