A Connecticut judge completely ignored the plain text of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, allowing the Newtown parents lawsuit against Bushmaster to proceed.

Judge rules Newtown lawsuit against gun maker can go forward

Here's the worry: If the dismissal is appealed and makes it way up to SCOTUS...it could be a very big problem, given the current status of the court.

IMHO, there is no question of law here, at all. The law could not be more clear. Which is why this is so worrisome.

Here's the text of the PLCAA (2005), for those who don't know it:

Text of S. 397 (109th): Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (Passed Congress/Enrolled Bill version) - GovTrack.us

Not too worry this biased educated idiot in a robe will get schooled by her peers.

Big money/business/corporate America won't tolerate allowing a legal precedent that allows a business to be sued when their legal product functions as expected but was used in a criminal fashion by a criminal who procured it legally.
