Looking for suggestions for NFA engraving at least somewhat local to the Buford area. SilencerShop shipped my MK18 (registered under a trust) without the engraving. I’ve already had issues with them on a previous NFA item and poor customer service, so I figure the best scenario is just keep them out of it.

For those that’ve had it done, what’s a ballpark price and turn around time.

9 Bar Solutions in Braselton can certainly take care of it for you.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but if you are purchasing a factory built SBR (Form 4 transfer), you do not have to engrave it as you are not actually "creating" the SBR (I can't remember the correct term). If it was a Pistol and you are SBR'ing it (Form 1 as you are the "maker"), then you have to engrave it, but IMHO that is one of the nice parts of the quick turn around time on Form 4's is if you wanted to purchase an SBR you could purchase it straight up as an SBR on a Form 4 and not have to engrave it. Purchase it, wait for your stamp, and go collect your SBR and enjoy it.

So if it was a Form 4 there's no need to engrave it. Form 1 then yes, engraving is needed.

You’re right, I definitely got this one wrong. They clarified that with me today. My first one was engraved as a form 1 so I assumed the MK 18 I ordered from them had to be because it was registered under a trust. That is not the case.

Thanks to everyone with the suggestions though.
