Nicest bottle of Whisky or Whiskey

Any good?
If you like Knob Creek and Old Grand Dad or Jim Beam. I've had worse. If your a Bourbon Snob its not a competitor made by Clear Springs Distillery in Clermont or Frankfort Kentucky. This is best for well mixer. Strong alcohol burn Bitter wood vs sweetand light vanilla. That said, there are better Bourbons out there for a few bucks more like Bulleit Rye.

The Macallan Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Speyside - Highlands, Scotland. It's unopened and still in the original pine box with handmade leather strap. Thought about cracking the cork until I learned that what was a $395 bottle when I received it as a gift is now worth north of $2k according to the whiskey collector's websites. Who knew?
Whisky is for drinking :p
I'd be keeping that one for a very very special occasion. It would be hard to open that but I bet its extraordinary.

I got a free shot of Macallan 35 at a bar in a hotel in Canada one night after talking to the bar man most of the evening about our love of scotch, he very kindly offered me a dram to taste it. One shot was around $400!

Got two bottles that are nothing super rare but special to me that I'll find a good reason to open some day, one is a bottle of Crown that I got as a gift when the wife and I married in 1975 and the other is a 25 year old scotch called "The Jewels of Scotland" - hope to open and enjoy both over a special occasion before I kick the bucket.

As to great drinking the Jameson Gold Reserve straight up with one ice cube is serious good. No mixers for me. I seldom buy the good stuff due to price, hate to sound broke but ya gotta call'em like ya see em. Normal bottle on the shelf is standard Jameson, Bushmills or Killbegan. Often have a Gentleman Jack around but only keep Jack Black on the shelf for folks who want to mess up a good drink by adding a cola to it.

I love Dalwhinnie 15.

Nothing different to add other than I kept Woodford Reserve on hand until I tried Buffalo Trace and found it to be good tasting straight up at a reasonable price. My buddy and I are hoping to do the Bourbon Trail soon and I will try the 4 Roses since so many of you like it.
