Nickel Boron BCG??

Building a 300blk have seen these on a few different websites. Is it worth the extra money or just stay with nitride BCG. Anyone have any experience with them. What is your opinion.

I got an AIM surplus NIB BCG for 99 bucks and free shipping. Works like a champ

Its seemingly easier to wipe off the outside....thats it. Cleaning the carbon from inside the carrier is just as difficult as a phosphate carrier. Just a gimmick IMO. plus they discolor pretty drastically after a few hundred rounds due to carbon building up in the ridges that are what makes it "slicker". Just get a DD, PSA premium, or BCM BCG.

I tend to agree. I had a fail zero one and it tarnished pretty quickly.

Yep, I have one in threw in a budget build. I just had to try one out...lol Glad I didnt pay that much for it as I would rather have a PSA premium BCG than this nickel boron crap...I mean it functions fine but really don't see a benefit.

I like good old BCM and Spikes. If I do use NIB then it's a WMD, nice stuff.

There are topics from time-to-time about the coating being too thick leading to out of spec failures (to feed, chamber, etc.). The last one that I remember seeing I think was a WMD which made me think "hell if they can't get it right, who can?"

I just stick to the old standard bcg of decent make/quality. Plus, if it's looks you're worried about only about an eighth of the bling shows and then only when the dust cover is open.
