I'd really like to do it but the prices I've seen are too high for me to try something out I'm not sure I'd like and potentially get skunked. I'd be more apt to do something with a modest fee and then another charge if I kill something. Seems like if I was a 'guide' and was confident in my abilities, I'd be happy to say "Two gun minimum, $100 each and $100 each for first two pigs, $50 for each additional pig. I'd make $200 for taking a couple of guys out and if they each get one I pocket $400. I'd guess that would be worth my time and presumably theirs.

This. I've been talking to a few guys that sell this hunt ( Half/full night of Night Vision Hog hunting). They charge $250/$300 depending on the guide and their calenders are pretty empty. I take that as a sign of low supply (of customers) at that price.


And yes I'm interested depending on price, as is 90% of this forum...

Late 2013 I booked a hunt with a very valued member...Paid $500.00 up front for a weekend hunt including lodging. Hunt never happened and never got a refund..Would love to go but health now may not allow it...But I will never,, pay up front again..Now the lodging did not include food..

I have hunted with a few different outfits in Ga. Some days I was successful, other times I did not have an opportunity to shoot. That was expected as part of hunting and I didn't make a huge deal of it, but some people might be pissed if they thought they were paying for a guaranteed type hunt.

I've hunted alot! Most of the time I'll go to the lease at least 3 days a week after work, then there's the weekend..
Even been on some guided / semi guided/ and drop you off type pay hunts.
Be it dove, deer, or hogs. There is no such thing as a "guaranteed" hunt, unless I guess if it's a penned up animal.
Like I tell people if they come to my lease, animals have no where to be and no time to be there....
Sometimes I've been lucky, other times I've struck out. I've always enjoyed the experience.

If you figure your expenses up it cost more than $150 a night to take someone out without paying yourself anything .

Well then, if you charge materially more than that, your pricing will be where most everybody else is.
