No Love For The 38 Special

Got an 1894 Marlin lever in .357 and a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 and I love shootin' .38's outta both of 'em! Couldn't tell ya the last time I dropped the hammer on a magnum.

I don't have the Marlin but I do have the Rossi lever gun, but yeah, what he said!

Can't remember the last time I shot the .357...but that reminds me, now that ammo is down in price maybe I should buy some...

38 special is still king of conceal carry in my mind, its powerful enough to defend yourself and can be placed a in a light weight small revolver with no issues of recoil and such held by person whom practices with it

any mid-large frame revolver gun I prefer to be 357 magnum with 38+p rounds in it, it will shoot at almost the base 357 magnum speeds and lower felt recoil

As long as we're doing Show & Tell...my pre M10 circa 1952

642..........working man's gun. Been carrying it north of 15 years, sometimes in a coat pocket, sometimes in the holster inside my patrol vest, sometimes in my pocket....mostly in a pocket these days.

Love my 642 38+P, and my Mod 36 Chief Specials (1 blue dad bought mom in the 60's in B'ham, Ala/ 1 nickel) and also Mod 60 in 38/357. There are only 5 shots but 5 is plenty.

I have a Model 10 Smith and model 28 Smith. The model 28 has fired waaay
more 38 specials than magnums. Too easy shooting and too accurate not to have at least one. The only thing I've shot more ammo of is .22lr. Can't be without .38 special.
