NSA reportedly intercepting laptops purchased online to install spy malware

I wouldn't put a damn thing past this administration.

Hardware trojans do exist:

China has been doing this for a while:

They have stolen tons of proprietary technology from US companies. Hell-they pretty much stole the entire F35 design using a bunch of hardware trojans.

(But the part about the NSA having secret workshops full of elves who do this to individual computers is BS. They don't need to. They suck down the whole freaking internet. Why not just wait until that computer talks to anything else? Much easier.)

if they really wanted to hack your machine they wouldn't need to do some freaky cloak and dagger crap like high jacking the UPS truck.

if someone REALLY wants into your computer, the 2x2x6 defense is the only way to stop them.

go out into your back yard, dig a hole 2'x2'x6' and put your PC in the bottom of it. Fill it with concrete.

Now its 'relatively' safe...

seriously, dont you guys remember when the NSA... erm I mean FBI took over the DNS redirect servers after the big hack?

Look up DNSChanger infection.

it could also be as simple as calling up microsoft and apple and having a patch installed.
and if you think they aren't already watching net traffic, you are truly naive.

*Waves to the nice NSA tech watching this site* ;)

100% truth!

They literally can see anything they want. In an electronic format I know of. The NSA mess is that extreme.
