I really want a Shepard but the boss says no. We currently have a 9 year old 93 lb. Lab. I thought about trying to get a pure black GS pup and just telling my wife it's a Lab with funny looking ears hahaha! By the time she figured out my deception she'd hopefully be in love with the dog.
I had the same problem, so when I brought the puppy home, I just opened the door a little and dropped her inside. She took care of the rest. It was funny, as I watched through the window from the safety of the garage, to see my wife's face switching from rage to joy. Eventually the joy started winning and I came on in to join her and the kids.

We had a pure breed all black GS growing up, I barely remember him as I was so young but I do remember that he didn't like fireworks so on the 4th me and him would be together at the glass door and watch
