will the doors be open to the public on Nov 16? Only question I have about the show. The answer will be how I decide to move on it
Yes, the door policy will be the same as it was last weekend. If you walk up and want to pay a higher price on show day then that's fine.

We'll have a few small changes for vendors on the next one, this will all be in an email we will send to vendors on Friday.

  • All vendors must be members of The Outdoors Trader and provide their screen name when purchasing their table. (This will allow us to provide a map showing where everyone is and insure all vendors are at least ODT members)
  • Vendors must agree to be at the show from at least 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM on show day. The back loading area will be closed during those hours.
  • No exhibition booths without previous permission.
  • Vendors will be strictly limited to 1 booth and 2 tables max. (5 tables in total) I allowed a couple vendors to have more last time since we had never sold out before.

Everybody talking about it being ODT only, isn't this forum open to just about anybody? I mean I've seen 0-0's on here posting about binary glocks and such. How closed is a closed show?

***edit*** no offense to folks that want a closed ODT only show. Just sayin.

Been a lot of complaining about the show. There were not any antics. Didn't even have a ND to my knowledge. There were whites, blacks, Hispanics, Asians and others at the show. Males and females; others also. There were probably mostly conservatives at the show, but probably liberals too. There were old people with walkers and young couples with small children. Some, God forbid, with STROLLERS! Oh, the effing horror. It's not like we want the head of young households becoming members. There were geeks, thugs, and those who didn't speak English very well.

Thing is; I as a senior, white, conservative, retired military, male; can't expect everyone I meet at an ODT show to look like me (I'm also fat) and reflect my values. How do we know who is behind the keyboard and are menbers? It's not a meet and greet where you know who's going to be there.

A lot of pissing and moaning from a bunch of grown men. Men I consider friends. Maybe we should limit ODT membership to conservative white males. Boom, then you'll be happy. Not going to happen though. The fastest growing demographics for gun ownership are blacks, Hispanics and women.

Hey, only real problem with the event was the air conditioning. If you looked, you could find chairs. The aisles are plenty wide enough for strollers. I'll get off my sanctimonious high horse. Oh, and if you're worried about the FEDs, don't do anything stupid. Follow state and federal laws. Don't fret over what hasn't happened yet and in all liklihood will wither on the vine of the judiciary.

Facts:
Women's firearm ownership has increased by 177.8% since 1993.

Hispanics are the fastest-growing demographic of gun owners, with a 33% increase in ownership between 2017 and 2023.

Thanks all I needed to know.

.

Having made a few deals and reviewed MANY; in walking around, I would say the crowd was fairly representative of our membership. We have a very wide and varied membership makeup. And many are here for the classifieds, not idle chit chat and keyboard arguments...

I have no complaints, it will be on another Saturday, so I don't have to spend another Saturday, at the Mall with my wife, asking me how this or that looks on her, then spending 10 hrs doing nothing, but looking like a zombie. Plus my wife gets generous with the cash on these ODT SWAP meets.
