ODT Gun Show & Swap Meet - Nov 16, 2024 - Cobb County Civic Center

Glad to hear everyone still had fun! Definitely a lower turnout than the May show but still a great time. My best guess for the last May show was about 1,200 attendees, this show was closer to 700. Not terrible but not amazing either. We're thinking of ways to improve all shows going forward. We're most likely going to add giveaways during the day, and have other giveaways through our store to help promote buying a ticket in advance. We're also open to any ideas for other attractions/services we could add that might convince more people to come out.

@benmmc and I will get together and discuss what's next for the shows. We really want to do more shows but it may not be fruitful to hit the same city twice in a year.

This is all still up in the air, but we currently have venues booked in Macon for March and September of 2025, in Marietta for May and November of 2025, and Braselton in July 2025. I have to talk with @benmmc about what we want to do next year, there's a good chance we'll change or drop a couple of those dates.

I enjoyed it. I only got the table to get rid of stuff, parts, and impluse buys... and have a place to sit... which I didn't use the chair, and my back has been killing me since. Having a free box went well... then the 5$ zone... and at the end a 4 for 5$ flash sale. I ended up leaving with a trade and a magnetic mat for cleaning.

Over all realy great. I missed a few things... a flare gun for 20$... and one of those water bottles at the front. Next time I'll just come to walk around... but overall a good time.

Saw a lot of rifle raft at this show did you?

I saw a few but, far less than Eastman or RK show. I also think 20.00 at the door slows the trash down.

I did pretty good. I've worked worse ones, that's for sure.

I would do the M & M shows for a booth, Braselton I doubt I'd get a table or go.

If we do more shows, will we advertise outside of ODT for them?

Heck yeah it was a good show didnt get any points and no warnings.Always good to see the OGs and meet new members. Seems like aisles were wider this time and things didnt bottle neck up. Palmetto has a good show cause his niece is there.I like ole Palmetter, he did me a real deal on a beautiful powder horn. Thanks to all who attended and there is always good advice at our table or at least sumpin to piss folks off
