Yeah I have a stormlake for my glock 19 and xdm. Very solid barrel... Price and wait is pretty high. I paid $275 plus 3 months wait. I was hoping the full size could drop in my compact and be just as good since its factory barrel. Have it sent to ADCO and threaded for $150 total price including barrel and have it back in a week. My HK p30 has a P30L barrel that was threaded and its better than anything. I have a jarvis barrel that is for my walther and its a piece of crap. So jarvis and stormlake was out of the options but I might consider stormlake.

look at the picture of the barrel, see the line .5 inch from thread protector? thats a different diameter. It may not lock up tight if you get a full sized barrel for a compact pistol

Yeah I think your barrel was extended, welded and threaded. I think thats why its thicker there. What I meant was to order a non-threaded factory M&P9 full size barrel and have it threaded at ADCO. I'm trying to figure out if the M&P9 full size barrel would function correctly in a compact M&P9

UNless thats how every barrel is made....

Hmmm yeah I noticed it now. I think I might just see if ADCO will extend and thread. I would think that if I don't have that, it won't lock up as much and affect accuracy. I never really examined the gun barrel before so I never knew of the thicker diameter. I just learned something new. I have however examined threaded barrels and I've noticed the ring near the threaded end and always thought it was welded on since alot of gunsmith places do extend and thread.

Just called. Form went pending monday the 8th so it was 7 weeks 4 days from the date it was mailed and 6 weeks 5 days from the date it was cashed.

I just called today about my form. The nice lady said its still not in the system but it is taking 6-8 WEEKS just to cash the checks. She told me not to worry about it and dont stress "For a few more weeks" this sucks
