That's the way it should be for everyone, every time. The only reason it isn't is because they want it that way.eForm 4 individual
Certified 10/30/24
Approved 11/1/24
Purchased in stock OCL titanium on 10/26 at quiet riot firearms. Used the kiosk for finger prints/photo.
DocuSign email from SS received on 10/28.
“Ready to certify” email received/completed on 10/30.
Approved email from ATF received on 11/1.
Stopped by and picked up suppressor on my way home.
There should be no more paperwork required to buy a suppressor than an actual firearm. 4473 + NICS or CWL in lieu of background and walk out of FFL same day. Could argue even this is an infringement but until the NFA is repealed we can put pressure on legislatures to reform the current arduous & outdated process. That's the way it should be for everyone, every time. The only reason it isn't is because they want it that way.
I wish it was that fast. 4 different form 4's and the soonest I got any of them was 11 months. The longest was 14 months. My first form 1 was 3 months. The last one was 11. Ridiculous.I agree.
I could go buy another one today and probably wouldn’t get it till after Christmas.
No rhyme or reason……
Every time I called them, I got a different response - uselessThey never did. It's always "received on such date and is currently pending."
