Called today to check mine, verified that my paper forms are running 9+ months and e-file are 3-4.. those of us who didn't e file are SOL.......

Wish I could just cancel my paper file and e-file, but I'm already at 6 months and not sure it could be cancelled anyway.

You absolutely can cancel your form and resubmit, not sure why they are telling you differently. I believe your dealer has to cancel the transfer though

Hmmmm.... I mailed a form in July. Haven't even called to check pending status because I'm afraid of what they'll say. I may cancel and e-file and probably have it back quicker!

Ok, so now I'm thinking about it more...If I leave things, as is, I've got two form 1's in limbo till June-July '14... Assuming I can cancel and e-file, it may bring me to March-April which sounds like a win, of sorts...... Anyone have any idea how that would work?? I ran the paperwork myself.. Do they return my money or reallocate it?? Interesting thought, though I'm not real happy with the process, let alone the reasoning..

9/6 was a Friday. I submitted online on 9/10 the following Tuesday. hopefully this means I will be approved tue-wed of this upcoming week!

I bought it on 4/27 and waited 3 months for form 3 to be processed and then had a bunch of crap going on and didn't get the form4 done til September..but i'm glad I was delayed since it went in on the e-file system instead of paper form at the beginning of august
