I sure wish eforms would come back. I'm 2 months into an octane 45 now and would much prefer to not paper file the two form 1s I want to do

I can almost assure you that if you paper filed tomorrow it will be approved long before any eform you submit when it does come back. I would bet it would probably be approved before my late March efiles. There is absolutely no advantage to eforms right now. Only negatives. You couldn't pay me to file another eform right now and I did 8 between November and March. Don't delay, get that paper processing.

I'm licking the stamp tonight and putting it in the mailbox, really figured with all the extra staff the ATF said they were putting in place that by the time it came back we might see 5-6 month times on the high side but I'm just being overly hopeful I suppose

standard "mail" files are taking on average 10 month to come back, e-files 5 months. When will e-files for suppressors be back on line? who knows? If less than 5 months from now you would do better to wait for e-file, if later then you are hosed.

Paper forms are under 8 months now and going down. And there's no sign efile is coming back. They don't even have form 1s back and those were promised to come back first. We've been given a gift with 41p being pushed back. Use that gift.

8 months is still a long time. But when you compare that to the fact that eforms is at 5-6 months and you don't know when its coming back its a no brainer AND you get the actual stamp vs an electronic copy.

Anything more than half the time of paper and eforms don't make sense simply because you can't make corrections.....even if the system causes an error.
