Yeah have the gun store charge the 200 stamp and give it to you on the spot after you pass the standard backround check. The the store sends in the money collected once a month like its done with sales tax.

Short of the ideal solution, is there a process to improve the way it is currently handled? There should be a way.

No. It's meant to piss you off so you won't do, and they finally got me with 41f so I will no longer purchase NFA items.

The best shot we have in the short term is the Hearing Protection Act so make sure you let your reps know if you haven't already.

Just filed for my 1st stamp since the new rules are in place. My last two stamps took 6 months each. I'm guessing 10 months on this one...

You inspired me to call and check.

I was approved Friday (form 4), Dec 16th. Approval letter is in the mail. I originally submitted 4/26/2016, check cash 4/27/2016, approved 12/16/2016. 1 week shy of 8 months to the date.

I had just got my 4473 for the form4 approved at the gun shop and the ATF web site crashed,,, My LUCKY DAY,, the next guy was pissed ,,,

My 4/16 Form 4's were approved 12/14. Just awaiting the call from @DogLegArms
