Yeah, would have much rather been there. To add insult to injury, I had to leave work and come home with the stomach flu. Spent the last 24+ hrs. swapping ends on the toilet and crawled up in the bed. Just now felt like getting up for a bit.

Question? And I do not wish to create an uproar. If one has a concealed carry permit and is armed in a bar or where ever can they actually have a few beers? I'm under the impression that doing so violates the guidelines and rules of a GA carry permit. Please advise.

I'd go read on georgiacarry.org... Stolen Q&A from their FAQ section:

Q: Can I carry at a Bar?
A: SB308 criminalized bar carry, unless the owner of the bar grants permission to carry. If the bar owner does not allow carry, it is a crime to carry there

This doesn't really answer the drinking a beer while carrying, but I'm not sure that's a really good idea anyway.

No where in the law does it state you CANNOT consume alcohol while carrying a firearm.

When we were there the mgr. asked that if anyone wanted to have an adult beverage to please put their firearm in their vehicle.
