Has anyone ever seen this before and what does the stamp A22 stand for? I can't find 1 barrel on the internet that looks like this.

The blue color fill looks like something that someone did themselves. Did you buy this barrel new, or used?

Other than the blue, those are standard markings that I see on SIG barrels all the time.

The ”A22” is a standard marking for SIG. Below are a couple pics from barrels on SIG’s website for example.

I believe the “22” is for the year 2022, and the “A” denotes that it was made early in that year.

I traded on hear but the owner said he did not do it. Just making sure I didn’t have something special before I put it on OTD. I bought a new precision threaded barrel during black Friday. Thank you for your help.

The two digit number is the year, and the letter is when they were manufactured in that year.

The blue coloring in yours is because someone color-filled it after it left the factory.

It’s a very nice, high quality barrel…….because it’s a SIG. Don’t look for anything special beyond that.
