Rate hike= Stronger Dollar=More buying power per dollar= Drop in PM price as fewer dollars needed per oz of PMs.

The flip side is a rise in the debt ceiling =Weaker Dollar=More dollars to buy an oz of PM's= Rise in price of PMs

At least that is how I see it.

It's a sign of coming inflation, which the Fed wants to reign in.

Thanks all, never understood that aspect.

In my head, strong dollar = more buying power so cost of goods goes down.

But what do I know.....I'm a simpleton
