Me too! I guess my by number is 14.99 ! And then I'll probably be cautious and buy slowly to see if it drops more!

Waiting
From a technical standpoint I think waiting is the smart thing. I also believe, as I am sure most others do, that the price is being manipulated by big banks and other large investors to allow positions to be unwound. A price rise, a big price rise, is inevitable at some future point.Me too! I guess my by number is 14.99 ! And then I'll probably be cautious and buy slowly to see if it drops more!

Agree on all points. The nothing valuation applies to assets such as stocks, bonds, where the underlying collateral value becomes nil. The principle is the same. Let it find its low point before buying. Of course, nobody can do this reliably, hence the need for dollar cost averaging. A strange phenomenon I have seen is that there will be more sellers after a 25% drop than after a 25% rise.Interesting, but silver will never be worth nothing and will always rebound. The only question is how much?
How is the value of your paper working for you? Can you say inflation?
Somewhat new to this arena, but why is cleaning US silver coins a bad thing (not lookin to keep silver coins as a collection just savings so to speak). Any useful info is appreciated. Thx yall.
Collectors pay big money for the raw form of the coin, to alter it is just scrubbing $$ away.
Think of it as a classic and rare war time 1911, you wouldnt go out and have it nickle plated to preserve the gun...

Abrasive cleaning removes silver and damages the surface. Don't do it. The natural patina and or toning add character.
