Looks like you have one or two lamps that would be considered antiques. The ones that are threaded on the outside are "newer" style.

If you want something really nice that's brighter and puts out more heat, look into Aladdin lamps.

I like antiques. I have a converted oil lamp hanging in my dinning room that came from an old plantation home when the new owners decided to modernize the place.

I can see it now. Big storm comes along and knocks out power. Fire one up with cooking oil, sit around the dining room table playing Monopoly with the family, waiting on the power to come back and now, the house smells like french fries!!!

The older mantels in Coleman lanterns and Aladdin lamps are made of thorium and are highly radioactive.
