Oil or Grease

I use light synthetic motor oil, thats it.

Grease on the slide and oil on everything else. Frog lube on the AR's and Ruger 22/45's.

Break free when cleaning, but I put Frog Lube on the rails.

Oil on rotating parts and tight tolerance parts, grease on sliding parts.

Like a few folks said, this is old school but with a good synthetic oil 99.99999% of guns will run just fine w/o grease. If you want to setup a gun for full auto, or a 10,000 round torture test, it might make sense to use grease, but that's about it.

Like I said, for normal use on regular firearms, you'll notice no difference between oil or grease.
