Their chicken and wild rice soup is unreal. Ate there twice last week during jury duty. That’s Panorama Apple House. R&A Orchards, BJ Reece, Aaron’s Apple House are all on Hwy 52 east of Ellijay and have great pies and goods. I avoid Mercier’s as it has become a tour bus destination and the traffic is a nightmare getting in and out.
I live up here near Aska Rd and DO NOT go anywhere near Ellijay or Blue Ridge from Friday-Sunday so I would recommend visiting during the week. Cantaberry Restaurant on the square in Ellijay has great food.
The wife absolutely love it! They have got all sorts of knick knacks, coffee cups, candles, special jellies and all kinds of stuff that you would find in like a mountain store in combination with the apple orchard. And the bakery you'll absolutely freak out over. They've got so many delicious looking pastries and pies and whatnot it's just a very nice place to visit. You can actually see on the right off of 575 which which may have turned into State route 515 at that point but I'm not sure if it has turned at that point or not. But you really can't miss it it's this big barn look building on the right with the name of the orchard on the side of it. I believe it's Panorama orchards. That's the only one I can find then it's right off of State route 515. You can't miss it it's a huge place on the right. This sounds amazing. I LOVE fried pies, especially peach and cherry.
Is it gun friendly, too?The wife absolutely love it! This place sounds amazing and I'm planning to go this fall. This the place? https://mercier-orchards.com/There are at least 3 Florida residents that fly private jets to Blue Ridge weekly for Merciers fried pies. They are ridiculously good.
That’s it. The cream cheese fried pie will put a pound on you for every bite but it’s well worth it. They’re all delicious. Cool little store and the orchard is beautiful. Tractor rides, etc. Fun place. Crowded like mentioned but fun.
There no such thing as an unfriendly gun place up here except the courthouse. Even Appalachian Beverage (Liquor Store) in Ellijay on 515 has a sign welcoming guns.Is it gun friendly, too? This place sounds amazing and I'm planning to go this fall.

The sign at Ace Hardware in Blue Ridge always puts a smile on my face. There no such thing as an unfriendly gun place up here except the courthouse. Even Appalachian Beverage (Liquor Store) in Ellijay on 515 has a sign welcoming guns.
Just ask the poor bastard that tried to rob the Ideal Mart in Ellijay with pantyhose on his head. Armed citizens had him ready to roll once the cops got there. And public-spirited citizens detain armed gas station robbers all the time.
