Old Clock ID

Anyone ever seen one of these? No markings on face as to manufacturer.

Can you open from the back and see the movement? I don’t see a place to wind from the front so just guessing its not all that old. Battery powered maybe? Is it real wood?

Wait I do now see the ports to wind from the front. Check the movement.

There are two winding stems on the face. One for the movement, one for the chime. You open the glass and wind with a key.

I was born and raised from a clock factory. My dad did 42 years and I did 19 before they closed down. I don’t recall a Seth Thomas that looked like that. There was a company in Virginia that used German movements but I can’t remember the name. Best bet is to look at the inside from the back.

Look at photos of Waterbury clocks.

Probably Ansonia. Pressed oak kitchen clock. About $225-$275 depending on condition. Common.
Could be any number of American makers. Ingraham, Seth Thomas, Waterbury, etc.

Seen em cheap as $30 and as high as $275.

Definitely old. Looks like I'll have to pry the back off to get in there.
