Old Gun

Have this old gun. Got from my Dad years ago and have no clue where he picked it up.
Anyone local Y'all know of that could educate me on it. The gun is 60" long.

I'd actually be checking with a real firearms historian... that gun looks OLD!

NRA has a firearms museum in VA, and I'll bet the curators there could help.

I expect that it's a Zulu muzzleloader from the late 19th century.

I think the inlay is mother of pearl but not sure.

hard to tell from the pics as I don't see much shine but could also be bone or ivory?

Google "Persian flintlock rifle" you will find a lot of examples that are similar.

North African Snaphaunce. Not a very good one though. Wall hanger for sure.
